Guest Policies & Information

 
Members are welcome to bring family, friends, colleagues and associates to enjoy the Club in accordance with our guest policy. Members must accompany guests while using Club facilities.   We look forward to seeing you at Glen Head Country Club. Below are some guidelines to make your visit more enjoyable.
 

Dress Code

We ask members and guests to respect the following code of dress:
 

In and Around the Clubhouse

Appropriate golf and tennis attire, appropriate warm-ups and jeans, provided they have no large holes, are permitted during the day. Hats are not permitted while seated in any of the dining areas in the Clubhouse. Bathing suits, flip flops for men or pool attire is not permitted in the Clubhouse.
 

Golf Course

All players must be properly attired in generally accepted golf clothes while on the course, the driving range or practice areas:
Men: Tucked in shirts with collars and sleeves must be worn at all times. Tank tops, T-shirts, cut-offs, sweat pants, bathing suits or athletic shorts are not permitted. Jeans, jean shorts or tennis shorts are not considered proper attire. Women: Halter tops, bathing suits, sweat pants, athletic shorts or short shorts are not permitted. Jeans, jean shorts or tennis shorts are not considered proper attire.
Shoes: Only soft spikes are permitted.  Children are permitted to wear sneakers.
 

Tennis Attire

All players must wear appropriate tennis attire. Running shorts, bathing suits, leotards, jeans or basketball sneakers will not be permitted. Spectators may not be in swimwear in the tennis area.
 

Pool & Snack Bar Area Attire 

Appropriate bathing suit attire is expected for men, women and children at the pool. Cover ups are required when leaving the pool area including going to the snack bar.
 

Mixed Grill/Family Grill & Patio Lunch

Appropriate jeans, tennis and golf attire are permitted as defined above.   Bathing suits, flip flops for men, hats, gym attire, jean cut offs, short shorts, tank tops, jeans with large holes or midriff’s are not permitted.
 

Evening Dress Attire

 

Jacket Only (no tie)/Jacket Optional

Sports Jackets, collared shirts or dressy T’s for men. Ladies shall wear clothes appropriate for and complementary to the men’s clothes.
 

Casual Dress

Shirts with collars or dressy T’s. Ladies shall wear clothes appropriate for and complementary to the men’s clothes. No blue jeans.
 

Appropriate Jean Attire

Jeans should be neat and presentable, provided they have no large holes.   Men’s shirts with collars or dressy T-‘s. No athletic sneakers.
